THE ITINERARY & HIGHLIGHTS
Phase 1: The Myth & The Healing Springs We depart early from central Athens at 08:30 AM, leaving the city buzz behind. Our first destination is the legendary pass of Thermopylae.
The Legend: Step into the innovative Historical Museum for an immersive 3D virtual representation that transports you straight into the epic 480 BC clash of the 300, right before standing before the imposing monument of King Leonidas.
The Energy: Connect with the earth at the natural Thermal Hot Springs. Feel the steaming, sulfur-rich warm healing waters where mythology says Hephaestus created these springs so Hercules could heal after his labors. It’s a true natural spa in the wild, globally renowned for deep body rejuvenation.
Van Fuel: Along the road, we keep you fully energized with chilled water, organic Greek iced teas, and traditional morning snacks straight from our van’s basket.
Phase 2: Cruising the “Greek Bahamas” We head to the coast and board our boat to cross over to Lichadonisia—a breathtaking, uninhabited volcanic island complex with emerald waters. Lore says these islands were formed by the body parts of Lichas, the servant whom Hercules threw into the sea in his agony.
The Wildlife: Keep your eyes peeled to spot the local family of adorable Mediterranean Monachus-Monachus seals sunbathing on the rocks!
The Mystery: Sail over the historic 1943 underwater shipwreck “Safari”, resting in the shallow turquoise waters and perfectly visible to the naked eye.
The Beach: Dive into the emerald waters of a hidden volcanic beach. While you relax under the sun, we’ll keep you fully refreshed with chilled local drinks and traditional seaside snacks directly on the shore.
Phase 3: The Authentic Seaside Feast After our sea dip, we cross back and head to a handpicked, traditional waterfront tavern in Kavos for a proper, slow-paced Greek feast right by the wave:
The Catch: Taste authentic Greek hospitality with perfectly grilled fresh sardines, calamari, and the fresh catch of the day, straight from the local boats.
The Sides: Enjoy traditional family-style platters of fresh Greek salad, wild greens (chorta), and local beets with traditional skordalia.
